| The concept of public sphere, which entered our lives as an extension of modernism, exists in Turkey as a space of living and debate. When we look at “visibility” in public sphere, the main figure that has visibility in recent history, and predominantly in our present day, is the “Turkish-Sunni/Muslim-male” citizen. The identities outside of this figure continue to be “marginal” groups excluded by the city culture, and at best, allowed to exist behind a “dirty” curtain of private lives. |

Its historical and natural beauties are still waiting to be discovered. | | | | | | |
